G H Building Supplies was established 1989 in Stellenbosch and expanded its operations to Franschhoek with the primary objective of providing a superior supply and delivery service of sand, bricks and aggregates to the construction, civil engineering, farming, building industry and golf courses.

We supply and deliver all types of construction and filling sand, crushed stone, gravel, compost, topsoil, bricks + blocks and recycled gravel.

We also remove builder’s rubble, do earthmoving, bulk excavations, digging of foundations and trenches and we demolish buildings, crushing and recycling thereof. We also do tree & stump removal and plot cleaning.

Our plant hire operation includes the hiring of crane trucks, tipper trucks cat excavator and cat digger/loaders.

Our dedication to clients and our passion for service excellence has seen us grow our client base to the extent of servicing clients & projects such as: University of Stellenbosch, Belaire, De Zalze, Kingsview Estate, Somerset Ridge, Schonenberg Estate, Pearl Valley, Franschhoek Estate, Boschenmeer, Val De Vie, Welgegund Estate, Weltevreden Estate and many other projects in the Western Cape.

GH Building Supplies is also associated with Somerset Sand & Stone in Somerset West. Together we boast a fleet of a minimum of 20 Mercedes Tippers, 2 Brick truck and trailer combinations and more than 10 Cat Digger/Loaders (TLB), 1 Cat Digger with Hammer, 2 Cat 936 Front End Loaders, 1 Cat IT14G Front End Loader and 20t Cat Excavator.
